Whether you are looking for an inspiring presentation, a practical workshop or an immersive weekend retreat, Outpost Family offers experiences designed to help couples and families rediscover God’s vision for the household and take practical steps towards becoming multigenerational teams on mission.
Outpost Family: Workshop
Is there a biblical blueprint for marriage and family? And do you have a clear picture of what your family is seeking to build—not only for today, but for generations to come? In Jeremiah 6:16, God’s people are encouraged to “ask for the ancient paths.” We believe Scripture offers enduring wisdom that can help modern families flourish and become multigenerational teams on mission.
Join Phil and Lozzie Rawnsley for the Outpost Family Workshop—a relaxed and practical half day of food, fellowship and focused conversation. Together, we will explore God’s vision for marriage and family and provide practical tools on how your household can become an effective outpost of His Kingdom: a place of belonging, discipleship, hospitality and mission.
Throughout the workshop, couples will be given:
a biblical framework for understanding marriage and family
practical tools for developing your family’s vision, values and rhythms
dedicated time to talk, reflect and dream together
encouragement for building a flourishing family legacy
Morning tea and lunch are provided.
Cost: $50 per couple
Register your expression of interest below. Once we have received enough interest we will aim to form workshop groups, with couples in a similar season of family life, and contact you with proposed dates and details.
The workshop can be hosted anywhere. At the Rawnsley home on the Central Coast, NSW, we generally accommodate up to five couples to allow sufficient breakout space. Alternatively, it can be hosted in another home for a smaller or larger group, or at a church or other venue for a much larger gathering.
Come and take the next step toward building an outpost family for the King!
Outpost Family: Marriage Summit Retreat
Strong families are built on strong marriages. But in the busyness of work, parenting and everyday life, it can be difficult to step back, reconnect and give meaningful attention to the marriage at the heart of your family.
The Outpost Family Marriage Summit Retreat is an opportunity to set aside an entire weekend to invest in your marriage and seek God’s vision for your life together. Drawing on the enduring wisdom of Scripture, Phil and Lozzie Rawnsley will help couples explore how a strong, Christ-centred and intentional marriage is the foundation for a flourishing family and a multigenerational legacy of faith.
Across the weekend, you will enjoy teaching, fellowship, great food and plenty of unhurried time together as a couple. You will be encouraged to reflect honestly, dream prayerfully and develop practical ways to strengthen your marriage and align your family life with God’s purposes.
Throughout the retreat, you will be given:
a biblical framework for understanding marriage and family
practical tools, including the Five Capitals, to steward your lives and resources more intentionally
time and space to dream about your family’s vision and values
ideas for creating meaningful family culture, identity and rhythms
dedicated time to talk, reflect, pray and dream together as a couple
practical resources and a retreat workbook to continue the conversations beyond the weekend
encouragement for building a flourishing family and multigenerational legacy
What’s Included
The retreat includes two nights’ accommodation, Saturday breakfast and dinner, Sunday breakfast, snacks and refreshments throughout the weekend, all retreat sessions, your workbook and resources, and facilitated activities and experiences for you to enjoy together as a couple.
On Friday evening, couples will organise their own takeaway dinner before we settle into the weekend together.
Saturday lunch is deliberately set aside as your Couple’s Date. Rather than eating another meal as a group, you’ll head out together for some uninterrupted one-on-one time. We’ll provide some conversation prompts to help you reflect on the morning, talk about your marriage and dream together about the future. Where you go and what you eat is entirely up to you!
Cost: $200 per couple
Register your expression of interest below. Once we have received enough interest, we will contact couples with proposed dates, location and further retreat details.
Step away from the everyday, invest in the marriage at the heart of your family, and take the next step toward building an outpost family for the King!
Outpost Family: Presentation
What if God designed the family to be more than a comfortable retreat nest from which children are eventually launched to pursue individual separate lives?
The Outpost Family Presentation invites churches and families to rediscover God’s vision for the household: a multigenerational team pursuing a shared mission. Rather than seeing the home primarily as a nest built to launch independent individuals into the world, we will explore what it means to build an outpost for the Kingdom of God—a place where faith is formed, people are welcomed, generations remain connected and each family member contributes to a purpose greater than themselves.
Drawing on the enduring wisdom of Scripture, Phil and Lozzie Rawnsley share a compelling and practical vision for families that:
place God and His Kingdom at the centre
cultivate a strong sense of identity and purpose
think intentionally across generations
practise discipleship through the everyday rhythms of home
use their relationships, resources and hospitality for mission
prepare children not to leave the family and start from scratch, but to carry its faith, values and mission into the future generations
This presentation is suitable for church services, parenting evenings, marriage events, leadership gatherings and conferences. It can be delivered as a keynote presentation or as an extended session with time for questions and discussion.
Invite your church or community to rediscover what family is for—and begin imagining what it could mean for every Christian home to become an outpost for the King.
