Marriage Preparation

Preparing for marriage involves much more than planning a wedding. It is an opportunity to talk openly about the kind of marriage, family, household and legacy you hope to build together—and to establish strong, intentional foundations for the life ahead.

Phil and Lozzie Rawnsley have been helping couples prepare for marriage for more than 10 years. Their approach is biblical, personal and practical, giving couples a welcoming place to explore important conversations before beginning married life together.

Rather than delivering a formal course in a classroom, Phil and Lozzie create a relaxed and personal environment where couples can talk openly and learn together. Couples may participate in person with the Rawnsley family on the Central Coast, NSW, or join the sessions online.

For couples attending in person, the package includes five evenings with the Rawnsley family, with dinner provided each time. The first evening is a relaxed opportunity to share a meal and get to know one another. Each of the following four evenings begins with dinner before moving into a dedicated marriage preparation session.

For couples participating online, the first session provides the same opportunity to get to know one another before moving into four dedicated marriage preparation sessions.

Together, you will explore:

• a biblical vision for marriage and family

• building healthy communication

• understanding and navigating conflict

• developing a healthy understanding of sex and intimacy within marriage

The sessions are conversational and personalised, creating space to ask honest questions, understand one another more deeply and establish strong foundations for the years ahead.

Additional sessions are also available for couples who would like to explore other areas, including:

• money and financial decision-making

• relationships with parents and in-laws

• vision and values for your family

• establishing a healthy family culture

• developing meaningful rhythms and routines

Marriage Preparation Package

Five sessions: $250 per couple

The package includes an initial get-to-know-you session followed by four marriage preparation sessions.

Couples can participate:

• In person with the Rawnsley family on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia, with dinner included at each session; or

• Online from anywhere in Australia or overseas.

Additional sessions: $50 per couple.
