What if your family could step inside the biblical story for an entire week and bring it to life?
Sukkot — the Festival of Tabernacles — is one of Scripture’s great celebrations. It is a week of temporary shelters, shared meals, hospitality, abundance and rejoicing before the Lord. It looks backwards to God dwelling with and providing for His people in the wilderness, while pointing us forward to the coming Kingdom and the day when God will dwell with His people forever.
The Outpost Family Sukkot downloadable PDF guide has been created to help Christian families rediscover this remarkable biblical festival and experience the life giving moments that it provides.
This isn't simply a teaching resource about Sukkot. It's a complete seven-day family guide designed to help you build a sukkah, gather around the table, open the Bible, involve your children, welcome others and create a week your family will never forget.
What’s included
The guide gives you everything you need to celebrate Sukkot as a family or alongside a community of families, including:
Biblical teaching about Sukkot — what it is, where it comes from, what it means and why Christian families might choose to celebrate it today.
A practical guide to building your sukkah — including simple ideas for creating a temporary outdoor space your family will actually want to use.
A complete seven-day family journey — taking you from the opening Sabbath celebration through to the final Great Feast.
Daily Scripture readings and short teaching guides exploring God's presence, our identity as travellers, His guidance and provision, Kingdom culture, hospitality and our ultimate destination.
Family discussion questions designed to work around the dinner table with children and teenagers.
Hands-on activities and object lessons that help children experience the story rather than simply hear about it.
Simple Sukkot questions and answers that children will learn and repeat throughout the week.
Ideas for food, celebration, hospitality and family fun that help make rejoicing part of the experience.
A complete Grand Finale gathering to bring several families together for games, worship, biblical teaching and a huge celebratory feast.
Along the way, your family will discover a simple but powerful message:
We are not home yet. God is with us on the journey, and He is leading us home.
You can celebrate Sukkot with just your household, but it becomes even richer when families celebrate together — visiting one another's sukkahs during the week and gathering at the end for one enormous feast.
Because biblical festivals don't just teach biblical truth — they turn truth into family memories, shape family identity and build a shared family culture.
